The interview process was pretty easy and quick, felt very relaxed. It was mainly competency-based questions, no extra tasks needed from me. It lasted about an hour, but it took them several weeks to get back to me. They ended up giving the position to an internal candidate.

Behavioral

So I applied online and then an HR manager rang me up to set up a phone interview. She was super clear that it would be all behavioral questions and I needed to use the STAR method. The phone interview itself was pretty structured. She first told me how it would go: I'd walk her through my resume, then she'd ask a few things about me, and then we'd get into the behavioral part. After that, the HR person takes notes on your answers, sends them to the hiring manager, and they decide if they want to interview you based on those notes. I actually emailed the HR a couple weeks later 'cause I hadn't heard anything, but I didn't get a second interview.

Behavioral Presentation

I had a third party recruiter, the VP of HR, and the hiring manager who was the director of marketing for the division. There was also an interview with the VP of Sales for the division, which happened with the final two candidates. It was a pretty slow process, taking about 2-3 months. The interviews themselves were pretty straightforward. It really helped that I could share business cases or accomplishments that were similar to what I'd be doing at Purina.
