HR reached out for an initial chat, about 30 mins. We went over my resume, what I wanted salary-wise, and the job details. Then they asked me 2 behavioral questions, digging deep with follow-ups. A couple days later, I got invited to their St. Louis HQ for the in-person interviews. It was 3 back-to-back interviews, each with 2 people. They asked a total of 12 behavioral questions, wanting different examples and answers for each.

Applied for the job and about a week and a half later, HR emailed me to set up a phone interview. I picked a date from the calendar they provided. The phone interview went fine, and I was asked 2 behavior questions. I thought the interview process wasn't tough because I had prepped and reviewed some old interview questions. They said I'd get a follow-up email within a week about the next steps. A week and a half went by with no email from Nestle Purina, so I contacted their HR department by email. Almost immediately, I got an email saying they'd gone with other candidates.

I applied for the internship online through my school's career portal. About two weeks later, I got an email for a phone interview. It was an hour long and pretty conversational, mostly behavioral questions. I got to learn more about the program, and the interviewer was really nice. Three weeks after that, they flew me out to St. Louis for three one-hour interviews back-to-back with two interviewers. This was a tough interview with lots of follow-up questions. They asked four main questions, and about five follow-ups for each.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe a situation where you had to persuade a manager to agree with your viewpoint?
  • Tell me about a time you were responsible for reducing expenses.
