The interview kicked off with a brief chat with HR about the role and the hiring process. Next up was a coding challenge, featuring two programming problems – one simple, the other more complex. Following that, we moved into a system design discussion, which was more of a conversation about architecture and technologies, and generally how to build a system to meet technical and business needs. The final stage was a profile assessment, a really nice chat to get to know the candidate better, learn about Neon, discuss the role, and ensure expectations are aligned.

The initial contact was with the recruiter, who introduced the company and asked me to introduce myself. Afterward, a technical interview was scheduled. This interview included two area specialists, who presented three logic (algorithm) tests and one architecture test (given a problem). About a week after the test, an interview with the area manager was scheduled. The chat was very nice, with a good exchange of experiences. He asked some questions, like what my ambitions were, what would make me change companies, and so on. About 4 days after this chat, I received a call from the recruiter, congratulating me on being approved. Overall, the experience was very light and nice. Everyone involved seemed very human, making me feel very comfortable during the process.
