First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NeoGenomics.
Laboratory Technician
About five people were in the room for an in-person interview. They asked typical lab interview questions, basic job questions like how to handle a difficult situation, how to work with a difficult co-worker, what to prioritize, and also asked about past experience as a laboratory technician.
- Can you describe a problem you faced as a laboratory technician and explain how you resolved it?
Technician
I had a good phone interview with Neogenomics, and then they flew me out for an in-person interview. The whole process was super fast! They showed me around different labs and I spoke with several managers and team members. The people I met were really smart and innovative. A couple of things I noticed were that management seemed a bit unsure about the specific department they were hiring for, which felt a little off. I wish I could have spoken with the hiring manager for the specific department after the interview instead of going straight to HR. The company is really busy and it felt a bit rushed to hire people, which wasn't the most comfortable feeling. But in general, the company seemed very professional and impressive.
- What makes you interested in working for Neo?
Laboratory Technician
The interview process included an initial phone call followed by an in-person interview, with about a week between them. The phone call was a brief get-to-know-you session. The onsite interview was more technical in nature. It also involved a short tour of the company and a look at the technician process. The overall atmosphere was friendly.
- What are your future aspirations?
- Tell me about your long-term career goals.
- How do you envision your career progression here?
