Software Engineer
So first I got a take home assignment where I had to solve two computer graphics problems. After that, I had an onsite interview. Part of that was a presentation about one of my favorite projects. I also had two more interviews with the team, one with the whole team, and then another with the CEO. Oh, and there was a recruiter call at the beginning.
- Can you share details about your past work experiences?
- Tell me more about the project you presented.
Software Engineer
I was given a 48-hour assessment to build a piece of software using a programming language of my choice. Unfortunately, I was rejected afterwards without any specific reasons provided. It was a bad experience overall, and I wasn't recommended.
- Could you build an object as part of a software assessment?
Software Engineer Intern
Met the company at a university career fair. The interview process involved a coding assessment and then two 30-minute technical interviews. The technical interviews focused on my resume and past experiences, more like a casual chat than in-depth questions. The coding assessment was quite interesting, featuring both a UI aspect and a Robotics part. They provided 48 hours to complete it, and any programming language was allowed except MATLAB/LabView. It felt like a course project and could be time-consuming, likely requiring the full two days. Overall, it was a pleasant interview experience. The salary was competitive, though there was no housing bonus. It seems like a good company to join. I declined the offer because I had a better opportunity elsewhere.
- For the coding assessment, implement Forward and Inverse Kinematics for a 2D 3-Link Robotic Arm, including visualization capabilities.
- Develop functionality where the user can click anywhere in the workspace, and the Robot End Effector will move towards that clicked point in a straight line.
