Technical

The whole thing took about 20 days. I had one technical phone call that was supposed to be an hour, but the interviewer kept disconnecting. It was pretty unprofessional. The call dropped suddenly, and then I got a text asking me to call back if I had questions. I applied for a manager role, but after all that time, HR called me to say I was shortlisted for a Sr. Executive position, which wasn't what I expected. They didn't give any other feedback. Honestly, it was a pretty bad interview experience overall.

I applied online and after three weeks, an internal recruiter contacted me about an interview. When I arrived, the recruiter didn't meet me, which felt like a 'fluff' interview, making me suspect they already had someone in mind, possibly through referrals. The hiring manager seemed uninterested, glancing at his computer while asking odd questions. Then, a group of women joined, showing more interest in my skills and potential positive impact on the team. One even said she'd hire me on the spot if she could, feeling I was qualified for an entry-level role despite my years of experience. A major issue was that several people scheduled for the interview never showed up, leaving me waiting for over 15 minutes without an update. I left a note offering to reschedule. I sent thank-you notes that evening, receiving one vague reply wishing me luck, which felt like a polite rejection. After waiting a week, the promised timeframe, I got an email from the recruiter stating they'd chosen another candidate. The whole experience was poorly managed and seemed like a way to justify hiring friends or family.

The hiring process was really well-organized and quick. I spoke with people who were both senior and mid-level in the company. They didn't really give me much space to talk about myself and didn't ask questions about my skills. The interview was about 1.5 hours long. I was told they were looking to hire someone that week, but that turned out not to be true. I felt a bit misled but was still thankful for the chance.
