Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Neiman Marcus.
Sales Associate
It was a remote interview with the recruiter. The next step would have been to meet with a local sales manager, but our schedules didn't work out, so I stopped the process.
- Tell me about a time you satisfied a customer.
Sales Associate
This was a pretty standard interview for a retail job. They do require a drug test if they decide to offer you the position. I only went through one interview round before getting the official offer.
- What's your previous experience been like?
- How would you deal with some made-up scenarios?
Sales Associate
I met with the team at Cherry Creek Mall once. They seemed nice and made me an offer, but then they asked me to take a drug test. I tested positive for pot, which is legal in Colorado. I don't smoke pot, but it's everywhere and getting it in your system from second-hand smoke is easy. Don't bother applying for jobs in Colorado if you have any social life, you will test positive.
- Have you been using drugs?
- Could you bring customers to the store?
