Electrical Engineer
The process was fast and informative. I enjoyed it. I connected with the recruiter to set things up. I was found on LinkedIn. It felt good to be discovered.
- What are the next steps?
Electrical Engineer
Had one initial phone screening about 30 minutes long with a hiring manager who asked general electrical engineering questions. The next and final interview was with the team lead of the department I was seeking employment in, and it lasted about 45 minutes. The questions were a mix of technical and general.
- What made you decide to work in the solar industry?
Electrical Engineer
The interview process involved four interviews spread over about two weeks. The first was with a technical recruiter to discuss my background and career goals with NEI. The second interview, with the Technical Director of the solar department, focused on cultural fit and behavioral questions about past experiences and lessons learned. The final interview was a technical assessment with the Technical Director and the team lead, designed to gauge my knowledge level for the role without being overly rigorous. The overall process felt average, but the team was transparent and communicative. They even indicated an offer was being prepared at the conclusion of the final interview. The technical recruiter provided excellent post-interview follow-up and scheduling assistance.
- Could you share an instance of dealing with a challenging coworker and your approach to resolving it?
