First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Needham & Co..
Analyst
It was tough. I met with a bunch of junior and senior bankers. It started technical and got less so as I met more senior people. It ended with interviews in NY.
- Any standard banking questions?
- Some questions about strategic thinking?
- Some open ended questions?
Analyst
It was a mix of behavioral and technical interviews. They started with some get-to-know-you questions about my background, past experiences, and why I'd be a good fit for the role. Then, I had to do a stock pitch, covering both long and short positions. They also asked me some questions about current events based on recent news.
- Can you identify a technical skill where you feel you fall short compared to your peers?
Analyst
It was a 30-minute phone interview. They mostly asked about my background and made sure that the things I listed on my resume were accurate. Then, I was asked a couple of quick technical questions. The interviewer was pretty chill.
- Can you explain the Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) model?
