First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nedbank.
Quantitative Analyst
They started with some personal questions about you. Then, there were technical questions about your knowledge of a bank and its operations, plus some riddles or stats questions. They might also throw in some curveball questions designed to catch you off guard, but don't panic.
- How does a bank generate revenue and incur losses?
Quantitative Analyst
I went through a few rounds for a senior quantitative analyst role at Nedbank. It kicked off with a recruiter chat, then there were 2 assessments and 2 technical/behavioral interviews with team members. The last part was a chat with the Hiring Manager, head of department, and managers. Communication was okay, and they said I'd know in 2 weeks. But after following up, they just kept saying they're finalizing and never got back to me. I was ghosted at the final stage, no rejection or update, just silence.
- Describe a situation where you dealt with a challenging stakeholder and how you managed it.

The interview is about an hour long. You'll meet with at least five people, some of them Senior and junior Quants, plus HR and a talent person. They'll ask HR-related questions, problem solving, analytical, technical, and behavioral questions. Make sure you know about Nedbank.

- Tell me about Nedbank.
- What are your thoughts on problem-solving and analytical abilities?
