First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NEC Corporation.
Account Manager
The initial phone interview was great, the interviewer was really kind and asked a mix of formal and informal questions, making it a nice experience. She mentioned the interview went really well and I'd hear back the following Monday. However, I heard nothing. I followed up the week after and again, still nothing. They ghosted me! Extremely unprofessional.
- Can you tell me about your experience in sales and account management?
- What is your experience with Microsoft Office?
Sales Manager
The recruiting manager urgently requested an interview for the same day, possibly due to their pressure to meet performance targets (KPI). Even with a tight schedule, I managed to fit the interview in. During the process, I received positive feedback, indicating a high chance of being hired due to my profile. However, after that, there was no further contact, even after polite and spaced-out attempts via WhatsApp to get updates.
- Could you discuss your networking skills?
- What is your English proficiency level?
- What are your salary expectations?
Software Developer
This company visited our campus, and a friend got placed. They offer a 2-month free training program. After training, there's an assessment to decide who gets a PPO. The questions were easy to moderate. My friend got asked to find the middle element of a linked list. There were 2 technical rounds, both focusing on in-depth knowledge of your favorite programming language, plus basic DSA, Array, String, and Maths questions.
- Can you find the middle element in a linked list?
- Determine if a number is a perfect square.
- Reverse the given string.
Project Manager
The interview process included an Amin interview where we discussed some situations and how to solve them, which was a very interesting and good experience. Then, there was a department manager interview, also discussing situations and their solutions, which was equally interesting and a good experience. Finally, there was a team interview, where we again discussed situations and how to solve them, which was also very interesting and a great experience.
- Can you tell me about a career accomplishment that makes you most proud?
