Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NCR Corporation.
Manager
The first part was a one-on-one meeting, then there was a three-on-one interview where one person was taking notes. After that, I got a call and a text about my status, and then another call from a department head.
- Can you describe your work habits?
- Have you previously worked remotely?
Proposal Manager
It was a quick and organized interview process. The recruiters were great and really respected my time. I had a 20-minute phone interview with some interesting questions, not the usual generic ones. Then, I had another interview with a colleague where they asked a standard list of generic questions. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.
- Tell me about the biggest obstacle you faced and overcame this past year.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Management Trainee
I was asked to play a number game. The goal is to pick numbers sequentially, starting from 0 or 1, and whoever picks the specified number loses. Then there were some questions about programming basics and Object-Oriented Programming concepts. I also had to write code on a data structure I've used recently and explain its uses.
- Can you explain what an array is and its various applications?
- Can you explain the concepts of inheritance?
