Financial Analyst
The interview process was quite straightforward for a financial analyst role. They focus on the fundamental aspects of the position and clearly communicate their expectations, making it easy to understand what they're looking for. It's advisable to review basic financial concepts and your past work experience.
- Can you tell me about a time you had a disagreement with a coworker and how you handled it?
Finance Analyst Intern
The interview process included two managers who asked behavioral questions about my previous experience and how it could apply to the role. They also asked about my excitement for the position and my future career aspirations.
- Can you elaborate on your past experience and how it aligns with the requirements of this position?
- What aspects of this opportunity particularly interest you?
- What are your long-term career goals or aspirations following this internship?
Financial Analyst
I got an email asking for an on-site interview at Peachtree City. The interview itself was... okay, but the interviewers seemed a bit checked out from the start. They cut each other off, asked each other questions not meant for me, and just didn't seem organized. Then, unexpectedly, we did a quick Excel test, which I actually thought was a clever way to put candidates on the spot. Afterwards, they thanked me and said I'd have a phone interview with the manager of the analyst department in India. That call happened a week later. It was short, and the manager seemed a bit abrupt sometimes and got sidetracked talking about NCR's hiring process and how it didn't meet his expectations for a growing company. He said I'd hear back within a week about the next steps. A week passed, then another, then another, and then another half week went by before I finally got a rejection email. I was a bit surprised since I thought the interview went well and I'm usually a decent interviewee. The whole process felt both rushed and not fully thought out for bringing in new hires.
- What are your Excel skills?
- How frequently can you come into the office?
