My interview for the Junior Engineer role at NCC Ltd in Hyd involved a face-to-face meeting with HR and some technical staff. The role requires responsibility for planning and monitoring the execution of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and firefighting works. This includes installation, testing, and commissioning of Electrical Work, Centralized Air Conditioning System, Plumbing, and Fire fighting. A key part is coordinating with the Client, Architect, and Consultants to get drawing clarifications for construction. It also involves executing High side & low side Electrical, Plumbing, FFTG, HVAC, etc. work according to drawings and site conditions, as well as installing and checking alignment of equipment like Chillers, Pumps, AHU in the Utility area. Monitoring progress and quality is also a crucial aspect.

It was a 3 member panel interview where they interviewed us individually. It seemed like they wanted to gauge our interest in the field. They discussed some of the challenges in this field, such as inter-state placements, regular transfers, and job responsibilities. We were expected to convey that we could meet their requirements and handle these difficulties. We needed to demonstrate that we were already informed about the field and were committed to joining the job. That was all. No technical preparation was necessary.

They ask everything about Electrical Technology. Indepth knowledge is required to clear the interview as well as high subject knowledge is desirable. First round is the shortlisting round, second round is the technical round, and the 3rd round is the HR Round.
