Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NCC Group.
Test Analyst
The interview was great, the interviewers were super professional and made me feel really comfortable. They were friendly too. It was the best interview I've ever had. Usually, some interviewers can sound really interrogative, but both of mine were helpful and interactive, not at all interrogative.
- All questions were about my profession.
Test Analyst
First, I had a call with HR to chat about the job and if I was a good fit. Then, I had an in-person interview with a nice Test Lead. They made me feel really comfortable during the 45-minute chat. At the end, I did some basic psychometric tests. A few days later, HR let me know I did well and was moving to the offer stage, but I had to wait for the Snr Manager to approve it. A week later, I heard back that the Snr Manager didn't approve me for an offer. It was a bit weird and unclear how that decision was made by someone who never interviewed me. I can only assume a certain reason, but won't go into it. It's confusing because they're still advertising for the role.
- Can you explain the differences between Agile and Waterfall methodologies?
- Why do you think you are the most suitable candidate for this position?
- Does the travel requirement for this role work for you?
Test Analyst
Applied online and had a phone call with a recruiter who went over the job details and asked some basic questions. Then, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager. This included two short exercises during the interview and some competency-based questions related to the job.
- What information should be included when reporting a defect?
- Could you tell me what you know about our company?
