First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NBA.
Intern
I applied in early October and the whole thing was pretty seamless. Towards the end of November, they had me do a digital interview with some typical questions. Then, in early January, I got an invite for a panel interview with the specific team I was being considered for. The actual interview with the team happened at the end of January where they asked me directly about myself, my resume, and how I could contribute to the team. I got an offer a week after that.

After you submit your application, the hiring team reviews your resume and experience to see if you align with the role. A recruiter or hiring manager may reach out for a 15-30 minute screening to discuss: Your background and experience, Interest in the role and TechImpact’s mission, Basic technical and UX/UI design knowledge, Salary expectations and availability.
- How are you doing today?
Intern
Applied online. It took about 3 weeks to a month to hear back after applying. The first interview was with a recruiter via email, where we talked about my resume and they asked a lot of behavioral questions, like 'describe a time when you disagreed with a supervisor'. After about 2-3 months, I was contacted by email again. The second interview was with the hiring manager for the department I applied to. We discussed my resume and they asked more behavioral questions. A week later, I had a third interview with another person from the department. We talked about my resume and they asked specific questions about the department. This was a Skype interview. Not everyone gets this third interview. A recruiter contacted me within 48 hours with an offer.
- Tell me about a situation where you had a disagreement with your supervisor and explain how you dealt with it.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a supervisor?
- What was your approach when you disagreed with a supervisor?
