First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Navy Federal Credit Union.
Mortgage Loan Processor
Had a one on one interview. They reviewed my past history in the same position and job processes. The job interview questions were text book to the role applying for. They asked about how well I work with others and what I would do if confronted with a hostile customer.
- Are you open to relocation?
Mortgage Loan Processor
The interview itself was really quick. They didn't explain the job or what it entails very well. The job description they gave wasn't accurate for the actual job I got. I think the staffing agency, Aerotek, was more focused on just filling the spot than making sure I was a good fit. The person I spoke with seemed helpful at first, but as soon as I brought up any issues, they stopped talking to me and basically said I knew what I was getting into, instead of trying to help. They didn't even try to help me find other jobs. Some other people at Aerotek are great, and I might work with them again, but I'll ask for a different person.
- What's the hardest thing about being on a team?
Mortgage Loan Processor
The interviewers were late by 15 minutes and didn't apologize. One interviewer seemed engaged and comfortable on camera, but the other appeared confused and distracted throughout. They mentioned it would take three weeks to get any updates after the interview.
- Can you describe a situation where you used the STAR method?
- How would you approach a situation where interviewers were not attentive?
