Behavioral Presentation

I got an interview request via the staffing agency they used. The interview process was really great. They showed me around the new building, gave me a look at the call center I would be working in, and then I had an interview with the HR manager and the call center manager. The questions were tough but unique and well thought out. I got the job offer that same evening, but since it was right before the holidays and I wanted to start in the new year, I didn't accept it then. Everyone I met was friendly, helpful, and seemed to genuinely love their jobs.

I had a call with a really nice guy who told me what the job was all about. Then he set up a virtual interview with two people from Navy Federal. I saw the listing had over 250 applicants for customer service rep, so I get why I didn't get hired. I'm a vet and have 4+ years of customer service/retail/fast food experience over the last decade, but still didn't make the cut. I wouldn't change anything about my interview though, and they missed out on a good potential hire. It's not the end of the world for me since working at NF isn't my ultimate goal, and remote work isn't for everyone (which I realized wouldn't be for me anyway). I won't be applying again, but my friends who work there said they had to interview more than once. So if you really want the job, keep trying. You'll eventually find interviewers who recognize your worth.
