Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Naver.
Research Intern
It started out with a coding test that had ML topic questions. This was used for the team. Then there were three tech-interviews that related to my previous research experience. I heard back from the team about 3 months later.
- Can you explain how you could have implemented a part of your project more efficiently?
Research Intern
I had a coding test where I had to solve a couple of problems. Then, I had an interview with a senior researcher at NAVER where they asked me questions about my recently published paper.
- Could you solve these coding problems?
- Can you tell me about your recently published paper, considering this hypothetical situation?
AI Research Intern
The whole process took about 2-3 months from start to finish, though I imagine it can vary depending on the specific team. It started with a resume screening, then a coding test, followed by a Zoom interview with three team members, and finally the result.
- Could you tell me about your research area?
- How would you explain the NDCG score metric?
