I went to a recruitment event in October and got scheduled for an interview the next day. Then, nothing for two months. I reached out to someone I interviewed with and found out I didn't get an offer. I kept applying elsewhere but also stayed in touch with a former higher-up. In mid-January, I emailed the person who rejected me and got invited to tour the campus soon. I was super excited! I was told most people only get one or two interviews and have to set up more themselves. At the Carderock event, most students had only one or two interviews scheduled. But I had a full schedule! One division even booked me for two out of five slots. I was so happy to be wanted. I felt I did well in my interviews, and everyone was so nice, no interview felt hard or stressful. I prepped hard every day between getting the email and the visit. It really felt like it paid off. The tour was great, and with less than 30 students, it seemed unlikely many would get rejected from a huge company. A couple of divisions seemed really keen to hire me, so I was crushed when I got an email saying I didn't get any offers. It's really disheartening for a company to give false hope like this. If you want to work here, don't get your hopes up too high like I did. You'll just be disappointed, and I feel awful saying that. Companies shouldn't lead candidates on.

I had a pretty easy interview on campus through career services back in October 2015. They asked some easy questions about my personal goals and where I saw myself in 5-10 years. They said I'd hear back in 4-6 weeks about an onsite interview. It took them four months to email me from HR inviting me to an onsite in Bethesda, MD. That long delay was a bit of a red flag, but the rest went okay. I ended up having three onsite interviews for four different positions. The interviews were generally easy but got a bit more detailed and technical. I got an offer the following week.
