I had an interview with a panel of administrators. They took turns asking me questions and I had a chance to answer. I could also ask them questions at the end. Since it was for a pool and late in the summer, I was offered a job on the spot.

Behavioral Presentation

It took over a month of emails and calls to even find out if I was being considered. The first interview was a very relaxed phone call, and I don't think it really showed my teaching abilities. Then I had an in-person interview with two people, whom I haven't seen since. The questions in that interview also didn't really dive deep into my teaching philosophy or skills. I had to wait another 3 weeks to get the job offer.

Technical Behavioral

The interview was pretty standard and went smoothly. They asked seven questions in total with three interviewers there. Right when I got there, the questions were about me, my coursework, and how my school stuff connects to speech-language pathology. I liked that they asked about concepts, like the difference between articulation and language disorders. It shows they care about understanding the basics, not just skills.

They will email you to set up an interview. Then you go for an in-person meeting. The staff is nice, but it really seems like they already have their mind made up about who they want. They tend to hire people they already know or promote from within.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Describe your approach to collaborating with others.
