I applied online and heard back fast from a recruiter. They wanted to chat sooner than I could, so I moved things around. Had a quick chat with the recruiter and scheduled a Zoom interview for two days later. Then, I interviewed with a panel of junior "Team leaders" for a call center job. I've got tons of sales experience, I'm a licensed P&C agent at a competitor. The panel seemed distant and I felt I didn't stand a chance once they saw I'm over 30. They said I lack sales skills and couldn't answer a single sales question properly, even with my background, success in pharma, and national sales awards. Definitely not the place for older folks wanting a career change.

The interview questions were a bit tricky. Two supervisors were in a room asking you about your sales skills and personality. Make sure you don't say anything bad about your previous employer.

the interview process was pretty easy, it was conducted over the phone and then through a teleconference. the interviewers were nice and easy to talk to. they asked some standardized questions and also personal questions to see if I'd be a good personality fit. I had to take a personality test, which is very important to take seriously since it plays a large role in determining if an offer will be extended.
