I applied online. Then I got a call and they invited me to come in for an interview at the office. I went and interviewed. About a week after that, I got an offer and accepted it. They said to watch my email for training and new hire paperwork, and they gave me a start date. But I never got anything after the initial 'offer accepted' email. My start date came, and I called Nationstar for info. I was sent to voicemail (several times over about a week), and I left a message. Finally, the day after my 'start date', I got a live person, who indirectly told me my job offer was rescinded. I couldn't get a clear answer on why it was rescinded or if anyone was going to tell me. I was always honest with them, but they didn't return the favor. It was a really bad experience.

The hiring and interview process was not that bad of a experience. The process began by being called by a member of human resources. You are asked a few brief questions in regards to the job title and your past experience. If selected to come in for a in person interview it is usually done with two managers. If you are selected to go further then you are taken to a VP and discuss what the job really entails.

The interview was super short, only about 15 minutes. They asked me around 4 questions and then asked if I had any questions. I asked them 3 questions. Two men interviewed me. They didn't seem very engaged with what I was saying, which I think is why it ended so fast. Even if you're not interested in a candidate, you should at least be considerate of their time and make them feel comfortable, not like they're being interrogated. I've never left an interview feeling so discouraged or uncertain about myself. It was a really strange interview experience for me. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I'm sure I won't get a callback.
