Instructional Coach
There were two rounds to the interview process. The first interview had two interviewers. The principal and an assistant principal interviewed me for the second round. They asked pretty much the same questions in the second round.
- Can you describe your approach to working with students?
Project Manager
I applied on LinkedIn and the recruiter reached out. First, I had a phone screen with the recruiter to talk about the job and my background. Then, I had a second, virtual interview with my potential manager and someone else in the same role. It was pretty chill and went well. A couple of weeks later, I had the final interview. This was in person and in front of a panel of about 6 people, which was a bit nerve-wracking. They were all nice, but managing that many people and answering technical questions was tough. I heard back the next day – they called to let me know I didn't get the job.
- Tell me about your experience with different ticketing software.
- Can you describe your experience with various PM methodologies?
- What are your passions outside of your professional life?
IT Lead
Applied and got a call from the internal recruiter. Tried to schedule a call with them, but they didn't respond. After a week, they apologized and asked to schedule via a link they forgot to include. I said forget it. A month later, a different recruiter reached out about the same role. I agreed, had a phone screen, then a virtual interview with the hiring manager. They rescheduled multiple times, so I told them I wasn't interested. A third recruiter then took over, apologized again for the scheduling issues. I finally did the virtual interview. They told me they hired an internal candidate but liked me and had another similar role. I said sure. I interviewed virtually with two people for the second role, then was asked to do an in-person interview with more people. They later switched this to remote because people were sick. The questions across all interviews were similar. About a week after the planned in-person interview, they told me they chose another candidate. Feedback was that I seemed uninterested, which wasn't surprising given the process. They encouraged me to apply for future roles, which I won't do.
- Can you tell me about your current projects?
Teacher
I applied online and heard back from HR to set up a phone interview. I was expecting to do an in-person interview with the principal after that. But funny enough, the principal and I had already been chatting, so my in-person interview actually happened before the phone screen. It was a really chill interview. The principal asked a lot of good questions about my past teaching work, my thoughts on using tech in class, and about small group strategies. HR called about an hour after my interview with a job offer! We talked salary and benefits right away.
- What are your methods for integrating technology into your teaching?
- What appeals to you about working at NHA?
- In terms of your teaching approach, how would your current principal characterize it?
