Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National Futures Association.
Auditor
Got contacted for a phone interview, which happened 3 days later. Then, had an in-person interview a week after the phone call. Was also asked to complete a writing exercise. There were 2 separate interviews with different interviewers. Most of the questions were behavioral, with some substantive ones mixed in. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Staff Auditor
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It started with a phone interview where the recruiter asked some basic questions, like about relevant coursework and examples of using managerial skills or resolving conflicts. After that, there was a second, longer interview lasting about 3-4 hours with two Staff Auditors and two managers. This part involved writing an essay. It got a bit draining towards the end, making it hard to keep the conversation going with the staff auditors since the discussion was pretty much confined to the topic.
- What value can you add to the company?
Audit Intern
I first had a one on one interview at the campus career fair. Then they called me for a phone interview with general behavioral questions. Lastly, I had a panel interview with more specific behavioral questions.
- What do you consider your greatest weakness?
