First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National Democratic Institute.
Program Manager
After submitting my online application, I went through two interview rounds. Some of the interviewers were great, really knowing their stuff and passionate about their jobs, but others were less impressive. The whole experience wasn't ideal and didn't give me a great sense of the company's leadership; they seemed to rush the early parts, and then I waited over a month to hear back, only to be told the job was changing.
- What is your reason for wanting to leave your current job?
Program Manager
The interview process overall was smooth, though it did take about 3 months from when I applied to my first interview. After that, everything went really seamlessly. It was a two-stage process which included an online written test and then a virtual oral interview. I received feedback about a month later.
- Can you share an example of a challenging situation you faced when collaborating with external partners?
Program Manager
The interview process was professional and all steps were explained thoroughly. It consisted of three rounds: first with the program team, then the substance team, and finally senior management. Although I did not receive an offer, I was pleased with the overall experience and would consider reapplying in the future.
