First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National Citizens Advice.

For the Admin Volunteer job at Citizens Advice, they don't need you to be perfect. They're looking for someone who is dependable, neat, professional and polite. The way you're thinking about clients in need and the procedures shows you already have the qualities they like.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in volunteering with us?
Volunteer
It was a very chill interview, mostly about seeing how good your communication skills are and if you can take care of clients. Super friendly vibe. They aren't too worried about experience, just see if you're eager to learn and can communicate well.
- What's your approach when meeting with a client who might be vulnerable?
Volunteer
The whole thing was done over zoom and lasted about 20 minutes. They started by introducing themselves and then went right into questions. The questions came one after another and honestly it felt more like an interview than a conversation.
- Can you tell me who might face discrimination?
- What would be your response if you witnessed sexist, homophobic, or racist behavior?
