I had an interview with the team, which was like a conversation. I liked it because I could ask important questions instead of just answering them. They seemed professional and open-minded.

It was a really long interview, over 6 hours total, and quite challenging. There were 2 main interviews, and they asked a lot more questions than usual, and they were tough to answer. But in the end, I got the job and stayed there for many years.

The take-home test wasn't complicated but took a lot of time (about 2 days) and needed attention to detail. I was drawn to the company because they do interesting, real-world work and offer relocation to Finland. The people I interviewed with (tech lead, group lead, SDE, and HR manager) seemed knowledgeable and friendly. It looks like my salary expectations (Finland's Blue Card threshold for 2020 plus a cent) were a bit too high, which is why I wasn't selected.
