First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nando's.
Team Member
We had a 90-minute interview that included team-building activities. These activities were designed to see your initiative, how sociable and communicative you are, your teamwork skills, leadership potential, and more. After that, there was a one-on-one interview where we asked general questions and got to know you better on a personal level.
- What insights did you gain about Nando's from participating in the activities?
Team Member
The interview had two main parts: group activities and a 1:1 chat. The group activities involved 'human bingo' where you ask people questions about categories, lining up by birth month without talking, and creating a chant about Nando's. For these, they want someone proactive, friendly, and good at talking to others. The 1:1 interview is more chill, but it's good to know Nando's values to show you're serious. We talked a lot about shifts, training, and scheduling. I got free chips too.
- What is your understanding of Nando's?
- Can you describe how you would demonstrate integrity at work?
Team Member
The interview started with a phone chat that was pretty much general Q&A. After that, there was a group interview where we did some hands-on stuff like carrying plates. The phone part was alright, but the group interview had activities that felt kinda unnecessary. I left the group interview feeling not so great because I really don't think I got a fair shot to show what I can do.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What makes you want to join Nando's?
- As a group, create an advertisement for Nando's in the form of a song, dance, or performance.
