It was an assessment day with lots of different activities. First, we did an individual inbox exercise. Then, we were put into groups. We had to build a paper tower, create and perform a jingle for Nandos, and do the 'Escape from Earth' exercise. For that one, we were given a list of about 10 people and had to decide as a group which 7 we could save on our spacecraft because Earth was going to be destroyed. After all that, there was a simple one-to-one interview with standard questions. We had lunch, and I think we were being observed the whole time. The main point of the day was to see how well we work with others, not how good our jingle was (though ours was brilliant!). Nandos also likes to see that their staff have fun and aren't afraid to be a bit silly, which is why they had the jingle exercise.

Submitted an application online. Had a first interview, then a trial shift. Then I had to do a SWOT analysis on a store nearby. After that, a second interview with the area manager where I had to present my SWOT analysis. I got a call saying I was successful and an email with my start date details.

The interview process was quite thorough, involving multiple stages. Initially, I spoke with the area manager, followed by a conversation with the state manager. It was a really pleasant and comfortable interview experience; they didn't make me feel stressed. I also appreciated their honesty when discussing the company, even if it meant sharing less flattering aspects.
