There were two rounds in the interview process: a technical one and a managerial one. It was a good experience overall. The technical round focused on assessing our thought process, problem-solving skills, and how clearly we communicate. The managerial round was more about behavior. It was a positive experience, and they did a good job of evaluating both technical abilities and soft skills.

Technical Coding

It’s a really chill and good vibe for talking tech stuff, where devs just talk about what they've done, how they solve problems, and get into the weeds with Ruby on Rails, how they code, and how they deploy things. It’s all about learning, working together, and growing professionally in a supportive place.

Technical Case Presentation

The interview process began with a 45-minute technical interview. Following that, I was given a case study problem to analyze and document a solution for. This solution document was then reviewed by a technical panel, which included the Director of Engineering and the Head of Sales. After the review, I was invited for an on-site, face-to-face interview, about 1.5 hours long, where I had to demonstrate and present my case study solution. I noticed the HR team wasn't very proactive with responses or feedback, even after I followed up. Getting constructive feedback, especially after not passing the final round, would have been really helpful for knowing what to improve for next time. More timely feedback from HR would make the process much better.

I think the interviewer didn't really know what role the interview was for! They asked technical questions about where and how batch jobs are configured. They asked very few functional questions. I strongly doubt if the interviewer knows the roles and responsibilities of a functional consultant. Even when I pointed out the JD, they said Functional Consultant. The interviewer kept insisting that technical knowledge is also a must for a Functional role. I'm not sure what this company's roles and responsibilities are for their employees.
