I applied online with my CV and cover letter, and after about two weeks, I was invited for an interview. The first interviewer was really nice and seemed genuinely interested in my answers. They told me I was moving on. Later that day, I got a task to write multiple-choice questions and example answers for students. I sent that back and heard back a week later about a second interview with a manager. This time, the interviewer seemed really uninterested, disengaged, and like they didn't want to be there. The questions were vague, and some were just repeats from the first interview. It felt like they hadn't prepared and were just making it up as they went along. The interview was supposed to be 45 minutes but only lasted about 25. A few days later, I got a standard email saying they chose another candidate, with no feedback. Given that I'd had two interviews and put time into the task, I was disappointed not to get any feedback. I feel like if the second interview had been more professional, I would have had a better shot.

They sent an online technical assessment with topics to study, mainly data structures and numbering systems. Then there was an online HR interview via video call, which was a simple interview around 20-30 minutes to get to know me better. Finally, there was an online technical interview via video call where they asked about my answers in the online technical assessment and how I answered them.

It was a bit disorganized at first. The interview had to be rescheduled because the interviewer didn't show up at the scheduled time. They said it was technical issues, but only after I emailed them asking what happened. I suspect they might have just forgotten. The interview itself was only 20 minutes long, but it was conducted professionally. The interviewer was really nice and knew a lot about the job. Most of the questions were about specific experiences I'd mentioned in my cover letter and during the interview. So, it wasn't a situation where everyone gets asked the same thing. You should definitely research the company and the digital education field, as many questions touched on those areas. I got an email less than a week later saying they weren't moving forward with my application. They didn't offer any specific feedback, just a generic reason similar to what they probably send to everyone: 'we liked your interview and application, but we decided to hire someone else who was a better fit.' It felt very impersonal and was by far the shortest and most vague feedback I've ever received. I think they interview a lot of people and have high candidate turnover because the job I applied for has been open for a while and they're still looking. It wasn't a terrible experience overall, but there were a few warning signs that made me question if the company was the right place for me.
