I interviewed at Naaptol (mumbai) and the whole process took one day. It was good and the response from the team was also good. On day one they conducted two rounds: first was a technical face-to-face interview and the second was an HR interview. They asked basic manual testing questions and were expecting more practical examples related to the questions asked.

Technical Coding Behavioral

The interview process started with an aptitude test, which included 20 manual testing questions and 10 SQL questions, mostly from the ISTQB question bank. The second round was a technical interview where they asked about all the concepts of manual testing. The final round was in Mumbai with the CTO. The CTO asked questions based on my resume and potentially outside of it. They didn't ask any manual testing questions, but rather asked about FTP, SMTP (port number), decimal to hexadecimal conversion, and IP addresses.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Could you explain the defect life cycle?
  • What is regression testing and retesting?
  • Describe exploratory testing.

Technical Coding Behavioral

I got an email from naaptol to come for an aptitude test, I went, a week later got a call to attend technical round, another week later they informed that the last round is with the CTO. I applied for manual testing but their CTO was asking me questions of automation and how tools work and questions on Java and HTML. I told him that I do not know automation because I don't have interest in coding, he said you should have the knowledge of automation. That round lasted for 1.5 hrs and it was more about his story than interviewing me. In the end he rejected me saying that the salary you're expecting is very high and we are a small organisation who cannot afford you at this point of time.
