First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Myriad Genetics.
Software Engineer
I applied online and heard back about three weeks later from an internal recruiter who wanted to set up an initial phone interview quickly, mentioning interest from the hiring manager. I gave a lot of times for that day or the next, but she didn't reply. A few days later, I followed up. She asked if I could talk right then, which I couldn't, so I sent more times. Still no reply. I tried a couple more times to schedule but was completely ghosted. Really unprofessional.
- Could you talk today or tomorrow?
Software Engineer Intern
Applied online and got an OA. The interview happened about 1.5 months later. The interviewer was really nice and easy to talk to. I managed to code all 3 coding questions quickly. But, at the end, the interviewer said I'd hear back by the end of next week. I waited, but got no response. I emailed them, and still nothing. I have no idea what went wrong, and it's been 3 weeks. I think they ghosted me. The interview itself was good, but the follow-up was terrible, which was super disappointing.
- Could you reverse a string given a corresponding string?
- Design a simple system.
- Can you explain a question related to Tries?
Software Engineer Intern
Took a HackerRank assessment which involved 2 technical coding questions, followed by a 45 min phone screen. After the HackerRank, it took a while to get a response. Then I had two 45-minute rounds that were a mix of behavioral and technical questions, including pair programming.
- One custom HackerRank question
- Two easy or medium LeetCode questions for the phone screen
- Two medium LeetCode questions for the final round
