First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Myriad Genetics.
Inside Sales Representative
I went through 3 interviews for this role. It started with an initial phone screening. After that, there was a panel interview which included a presentation and a role-play scenario. Then, I had another interview with the director, which also involved a role-play scenario. They mentioned I'd hear back within a week, but I never did. I had to reach out to them, and still no response. I even emailed them two weeks later, and they ghosted me completely. There was no follow-up at all. They weren't upfront about what to expect next in the process, and it was really unprofessional to ghost someone after three interviews and after I'd prepared a presentation and practiced for role-play scenarios.
- Could you do a role-play of calling a potential client?
Sales Representative
Had two interviews with leadership and then got an offer to start within the month. I accepted the offer. I'm currently employed with myriad. The salary is competitive, and there are many talented people within the Salesforce.
- What is your strategic approach when calling on a customer?
Sales
I interviewed for different sales positions at Myriad. Initially, I had a phone screen with the breast cancer genetic testing division, which was about an hour long. After that, we played phone tag a lot, but eventually scheduled a face-to-face interview. Unfortunately, I had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and they never called back. Five months later, my recruiter contacted me about a different sales role in another division. Again, the hiring manager and I played phone tag for days. We had an initial phone screen, and she wanted to move forward with a face-to-face meeting. I almost declined because she missed two scheduled phone appointments. We finally met at a coffee shop for an interview that lasted almost two hours. I thought it went well and asked about the next steps. She said she'd call me Friday. After I emailed her Friday and called the following Monday and Wednesday, neither she nor my recruiter heard back from her. I'm frustrated because I wasted a lot of time and didn't even get a rejection notice.
- Can you share an experience about a deal you were proud of closing?
- Describe a situation where you were rejected.
- What is your learning style, and how have you dealt with learning obstacles?
