I had only one initial phone interview over the phone for a non-clinical role. The HR explained the role, and communication was great during the conversation. However, they said they would have come back to me with answers related to my questions, but I have never received a follow-up. The role was interesting, but apparently, they were recruiting less qualified candidates to train, and the pay was not great.

It was a long interview process. They gave me this really weird assignment that was 15-18 pages long and didn't make any sense. After I passed the assignment, I had my third interview. The interviewer was very rude and seemed more interested in what I did 6 years ago rather than my current role. My previous job was in a different, more junior position that wasn't even relevant, but he focused on that and then rejected me.

Behavioral Presentation

I had a recruiter call, then an initial 1-hour interview where I discussed my experience with recruiters, team management, etc. The second stage involved a presentation of a 100-day plan. After the presentation, the director asked about the level of roles I'd recruited and if I'd managed a team, which I'd already covered. It seemed like my answers indicated I wasn't a fit, and the interview ended quickly. As a recruiter, I could tell why it was ending. I would have preferred more honesty or explanation. This information was not new to them; I should have been ruled out earlier if my experience wasn't suitable. I spent a day on a presentation only to be rejected for info they already had. They claimed their recruitment process was 'nailed,' which is inaccurate given my experience as a candidate – the worst I've had. It seems short-sighted to end the interview based on just two questions without exploring further potential contributions. Reviews suggest I didn't miss much anyway, and I had other offers. The first interview was good, but the lack of communication in the second was disappointing, especially after preparing a 100-day plan that felt irrelevant for the role level.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Prepare a 100 day plan presentation for the 2nd stage interview.
  • More informal experience chat in the first stage.
