After applying, I had to complete two rounds of forms, including tech stack and personality assessments. Then, there was a 30-minute interview that felt like a waste of time, with questions that weren't relevant to the role or my experience. I was aware from reviews about their time-keeping and screen-tracking software. When the recruiter asked about installing it on my personal PC, I declined, which I suspect led to not getting an offer. They also require not using a virtual background, which I found invasive. The recruiter's background was worse than any virtual one could have been.

I wanted to share that I just wrapped up my interview, and it was such a positive experience. The interviewer was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable right from the start. If you ever want to be interviewed by someone great, she's definitely the one! I managed to answer almost all the questions, but there was one about Google Sheets that I didn’t fully nail. So, a heads-up: it’s worth brushing up on Google Sheets basics, even if you're an Excel pro like me. I almost missed recognizing the filter and sort functions! Most of the questions were pretty standard, but there was a tricky one about RAM that you should prepare for. Overall, I’m genuinely excited about the company. The HR’s description really caught my attention, especially the idea of learning new things. I know there are some mixed reviews about MAG, but to be honest, that doesn’t bother me. I’m looking for a place where I can be busy, learn, and really put my skills to use—not just somewhere that pays me for sitting still. The training and courses they offer sound like a great opportunity.

This was a disappointing interview process. The questions were more about desktop troubleshooting and not relevant to the Brand Manager role. Although they mentioned training, it seems they expect you to already have extensive knowledge of flat files and Google Sheets. They also require you to have both a monitor and a laptop. The salary offered is extremely low, despite being advertised as competitive, at only 40-50k for a Brand Manager. I stated my salary expectation was above 80k in the first round, but they never disclosed their range. Instead, they kept me waiting and pushed me to accept a low salary. They talk a big game about their company, but the reality is disappointing. They seem to be looking for cheap labor rather than skilled or knowledgeable employees.

The interview process was a bit unusual. A recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn and suggested I apply. The online application process itself was strange. I had to download a program to check my PC specifications, then screenshot and upload the results. This was also required for a typing test and an internet speed test. After about two or three interviews, I received an offer, which I turned down. They were tight-lipped about their health plan details, only saying they covered 60%, and there was no stipend or compensation for hardware, as the company doesn't provide it. They expect employees to use their own hardware for work, which is a significant drawback and a major red flag for me. I'm not willing to spend my own money on equipment for company use.
