Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MX.
Account Executive
The recruiter contacted me multiple times over a period of months, and I eventually agreed to talk. The recruiter was friendly and knew their stuff. My initial interview went well, but then scheduling became a mess. I had a great conversation with the head of sales, who was impressive. We were supposed to have a panel interview, but it was canceled at the last minute because they couldn't get the team together. They kept saying they were trying to reschedule, but then I heard nothing, and they stopped replying to my emails. I ended up withdrawing my application, questioning the internal environment if they can't manage their recruiting process.
- Can you describe your experience and explain your interest in MX?
Account Executive
The interview process involved four calls and an on-site visit. The calls included speaking with a recruiter, the hiring manager, the hiring manager along with the EVP of sales, and a panel zoom call. The on-site portion had an office tour and meetings with some C-suite members. All interactions throughout the process really showed the company values, they were upfront about expectations, and the people at MX were great, even giving gifts for my family when I left the on-site. Really great culture!
- Why are you interested in working at MX?
Enterprise Account Executive
First, I had a phone screen with the VP of Sales. Then, the recruiter contacted me to arrange an onsite interview. During the onsite, I met with four people, two from different departments, which I thought was great for assessing company culture fit. After the initial onsite, they discussed the feedback with a hiring board and scheduled me to meet the CFO, COO, and CEO. This was a bit unusual, as I expected to meet with the hiring manager next. However, meeting with the executives was a valuable experience for both sides. I was eventually offered the job. MX's recruiting team was exceptionally communicative about next steps throughout the entire process.
- What is a passion of yours, and could you explain why?
