It started with a phone call from a recruiter. Then I had to do some basic math questions and behavioral questions with two team members. The final round was a presentation with two team members and more questions. After the last round, they ghosted me. When I followed up, they falsely claimed they were moving forward with other candidates and gave strange feedback. Later, they reposted the same job but with a different title. I have no respect for companies that treat candidates this way in this market.

First there was a screening, then a second interview with the performance marketing team where I had to prepare a 10-15 slide presentation. This presentation involved reviewing one of their Google Ads accounts, providing my recommendations, explaining how I'd scale the process, and answering some technical questions.

I failed the first take home tech test but it was great that I was phoned by the company and given some really good feedback. This is the best rejection I've ever had as I'm used to getting a standard 'we're sorry but we won't progress you at this time...' email. Thank you MVF for understanding that the job hunt is time consuming and deserves some feedback when not successful.

The interview process kicked off with a recruiter phone call that went pretty smoothly. Following that, I tackled a math test, which included questions specific to the job and some critical thinking/problem-solving tasks. Next, I completed another assessment that asked about my previous work history. After these were reviewed and passed, I had a video chat for about an hour with a hiring manager and another person in a similar role. While it wasn't a flawless interview, we seemed to click on a lot of points, and they even mentioned 'this was great,' which felt like a positive sign. They indicated I'd hear back by the end of the day or the next morning, another potential good sign. I sent thank-you notes to everyone I spoke with. Two days later, I received an automated email, as if my application hadn't even passed the initial screening. It's important to remember that you're not just filling a position; you're offering someone a chance they've been hoping for. If you put someone through the whole interview gauntlet, at least have the courtesy to give them a personal response, no matter how awkward it might feel for you, the one unaffected by the outcome.
