I had a phone interview that I thought went really well. The talent acquisition rep ghosted / did not respond back despite me following up until one month later. Finally at that point, she let me know I was not a candidate moving forward.

I got an email from the Senior Safety Leadership and Corporate Recruiter. I had a Teams interview with her. Then I had another interview with a higher executive. After that, I was told, "I'm sure she will be reaching out to you." I heard nothing until I emailed back and got a swift response: "Unfortunately, you have not been selected to proceed to the next round of interviews. I will reach out if any position open in the future that align with your skill set." They knew they didn't want me after the interview, so WHY not just email/call and tell me that? I could've been focused on other opportunities!

The interview process is very simple, but the location has all its positions filled. The interviewer was quite something, old and tired, with bad attitudes, and they were dishonest. Getting hired if you know someone there is a different story, but for new applicants, it's a shame. Do better, people. It's fine if you don't mind that sort of thing.

I applied on May 30, 2016, and was interviewed on June 3, 2016. I got hired the same day and started training the next day. The online application through the company website wasn't great, but going to the local site worked out best. Sometimes online applications are discouraging, so it's often better to go in person, especially if you know where the local office is. When you apply in person, there's a hiring official who can talk to you right away, and always bring a resume to show you're prepared and serious about the job. I used this in-person method for 3 jobs I found on Glassdoor, and I got 3 interviews and 3 offers. I took the third one because it felt like the best fit for what I wanted to do and offered a more fulfilling opportunity. So, this strategy might work for you too.
