I applied online in September after meeting the recruiter at a career fair. After connecting on LinkedIn, I didn't hear back until November. Then I got an invitation for an in-person interview after a phone screening. The in-person interview consisted of three back-to-back interviews with employees of different seniority levels. It all went well, and the team was very kind! I was told I'd hear back after Thanksgiving, and the following Monday, I got an email saying the position was filled.

I had a bad experience interviewing with Murphy Research for their Research Associate position. The first interview, the recruiter was super late and looked unprofessional. Even though I talked about my experience, she didn't seem to have read my resume and made me resend it. After that, I was given a marketing project that was supposed to take 30 minutes but ended up taking 3 hours, and it was sent to me the day before a holiday. She later said the team was interested and wanted me to interview with two managers for a 2-hour interview. I prepared a lot for this. But then, the day before, she emailed saying I wasn't qualified and I wouldn't be moving forward. I felt misled and that my time and money spent preparing were wasted.

It was a typical interview process. They asked me general questions about my background, what attracted me to the company, my long-term goals, and my previous projects. However, I'm quite disappointed because the hiring manager did not follow up or provide any response. Even a simple notification that they've decided to move forward with another candidate would have been appreciated. It's been a few months since our last communication, and the lack of a response from the hiring manager or recruiter regarding the next steps is unprofessional.
