Software Developer
My interview experience was different. It was a fast process. I went to an info session, which was odd, but then immediately had a 1-on-1. They checked if we knew what was expected and got to know us. They asked some basic and technical questions. It wasn't hard, they just wanted to see our current knowledge and potential. They noticed a weak spot and offered to help me improve it. Then they offered me the job, and I took it.
- Are you able to perform the required tasks?
- Are you willing to be helped to strengthen any weak areas?
Software Engineer
Applied via referral, took a few days. Three rounds: first was an HR elimination round with basic questions, second was a challenging technical phone interview, and the third was with managers assessing pressure handling.
- Tell me about yourself and your background.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Describe a challenging project you worked on and how you overcame obstacles.
Software Developer
First, a recruiter gave me a call to ask basic questions and set me up for an IT interview. The IT interviewer asked some easy questions about OOP, Java, SQL, ASP, and VB.Net. This lasted about 20 minutes, and they gave me study materials beforehand. After that, an HR manager explained the next steps and set me up for training. It wasn't a tough process.
- Could you explain the difference between an abstract class and an interface?
- What is the distinction between overriding and overloading methods?
- Questions regarding SQL.
