Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

The interview process spanned approximately 5 interviews over 2 weeks, starting with an initial screening call with a recruiter or engineer. Following the screen, I had a behavioral/leadership interview with the hiring manager. Then came a technical round that included a coding exercise and a brief architecture discussion (about 1.5 hours). The final stage involved two interviews back-to-back on the same day: a system design session with a senior architect and a behavioral interview with another engineering manager. The entire process moved quite fast, from screening to the offer took about 3-4 weeks. Everyone I talked to was really friendly and direct, and the interviews felt more like conversations than tests. It was great that the people I'd be working with were part of the interviews. The technical questions were practical and related to the actual job, not just random algorithm puzzles. Overall, it felt thorough but not overwhelming, and definitely more relaxed than a typical FAANG interview, which suited the role and its level.

The recruiter reached out and managed the whole process, making it feel easy and organized. First was a Zoom call with the recruiter to go over the company, role, and hiring steps, and to check if my background and goals fit. Then, I went to their office for an on-site interview with the CHRO/Financial Controller, followed by a meeting with a Senior Staff Accountant. After that, I had a Zoom interview with the CFO. The last step was a Zoom call with the CLO. It was a detailed but manageable process that gave me a good understanding of the company, team, and job.

The whole interview process lasted about three weeks, starting from when I applied online. The first step was a call with a recruiter to discuss my background. Then, I had a technical interview. The next round was mainly behavioral questions. The final round involved both behavioral and technical elements. Throughout the process, the recruiter was really responsive and kept me updated between each stage. Everyone I spoke with was super friendly, and I got to ask all the questions I had about the company and its culture. Overall, it was a really positive experience!

Behavioral Technical

The whole hiring process was super slow and messy. It took about 3 months from when I first talked to the recruiter until I got rejected. The recruiter rushed me to send my portfolio, but then I heard nothing for almost a month. The hiring manager interview was supposed to be an hour, but it went way over, and they seemed annoyed when I mentioned I had to leave right after the scheduled end time. It just felt like it dragged on and wasn't organized at all. I guess they can get away with this kind of thing in this tough market.
