I got contacted on LinkedIn by the recruiter. I replied via email and then HR verified my work authorization in the US and English proficiency. Next, I had a skype interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager is bright but seems to confuse being busy with being productive. He emphasized working long hours, which isn't for me, even though I value my work. The company seems interesting with a good product, but the work-life balance isn't what I'm looking for.

A Mulesoft recruiter reached out after I applied online. They were initially responsive and scheduled a Saturday call, but canceled last minute, requiring me to follow up. The process started with a recruiter screening call. I then spoke with the hiring director for the primary role and subsequently had three Skype calls with VPs. Each VP showed significant interest in my resume and background, going through my schools, past employment, and reasons for leaving each position, sometimes delving into specific project details. These calls lasted about 1.5 hours each. After passing the phone screen, I was invited for a full day of onsite interviews in San Francisco, which included meeting the CEO, having a 1.5-hour lunch with the hiring manager, and 1 to 1.5-hour interviews with other team members. Everyone was very engaged with my background throughout these extended interviews. The hiring director checked in before I left to ensure I was alright with my travel arrangements. Although I received another attractive offer elsewhere, which I ultimately accepted, I found the Mulesoft process to be respectful, thorough, and mentally taxing.

I wanted to let you know about my experience with MuleSoft recruiting, it was really very negative, the team wasted my 3 months with over 10 interviews to tell me in the end that i am not the right fit. The process is completely broken and if the feedback at any stage is not positive why did the team moved ahead and wasted time and tested patience. This is something similar what others have experienced at glass door. I understand that being a good company and hiring the best talent is your goal but the process should be smooth, transparent and fair. I was asked to provide references as my final round was completed and after that there was a u turn that left me surprised and embarrassed in front of my referrals.
