the interview process had 4 stages 1- call with recruiter 2- call with a hiring manager 3- panel interview which had 3 parts: panel, mock call, meet other members of the team. 4- director interview I really enjoyed the whole interview process, thought the whole thing was done very professionally and it meant you get to learn so much about the company and their values. just made me even more excited to join! from panel to last stage was very quick and got an offer the same day as the final stage. Internal recruiter was AMAZING, prepped me so well and was just so supportive throughout the whole thing. i've applied to many jobs and this by far was the best experience I have ever had. its not 'easy' do your research and make sure they are the right companty for you, and you are the right candidate for them. as long as that is aligned and you have done your research and have a good attitude for learning It will be fine. research case studies, use cases etc and make sure you have a few questions lined up to ask too.

The process included four interviews, starting with a recruiter call, followed by two manager interviews, a panel interview, and a mock call. Interview questions were generally straightforward, though telephone sales experience is beneficial for the mock call, it's not strictly required. Despite initial nervousness, all interviewers were very friendly. Preparation materials for the interview and mock call will be provided. Key preparation advice includes researching Mulesoft and the role's appeal, understanding the platform through case studies, and presenting innovative, original answers. Be ready to discuss strengths, achievements, weaknesses, and past failures. Authenticity is encouraged, but demonstrate motivation and passion for sales. Use the opportunity to ask questions of the team members. A significant drawback was the extremely long duration of the process (over 3 months), with no final answer yet due to a hiring freeze. Expect long delays in hearing back, even after follow-ups. The expectation for an entry-level role to possess Mulesoft expertise seemed excessive, requiring extensive self-study of case studies, videos, and courses, yet still feeling underprepared for platform-specific questions. Overall, the process was acceptable, but the hiring procedure needs improvement regarding its length and organization, which benefits no one.

I applied in September and got an email for a screening a few days later. The screening went well, and the recruiter was great, except for the end. The recruiter said, "I will pass you on to the next stage of the process, but the hiring manager will decide if they want to proceed with the process. You should get a response from us within 24-48 hours." This puzzled me because why have a screening if the hiring manager has the final say, especially for an entry-level position I'm using to start a new career path. After 24-48 hours with no response, I emailed for an update almost 72 hours later and got a response the same day. Unfortunately, they decided not to move forward, stating, "We have decided to pursue candidates whose experience is more closely aligned to the immediate needs of the team." I was annoyed because their recruiting process seems flawed. They looked at my resume, knew I had no sales experience, and wasted my time researching the company. Why start an interview process with someone lacking relevant experience, when other skills can be learned? MuleSoft (Salesforce) seems out of touch. Don't give false hope to career changers that they can get the job if they apply and pass the screening, only to be rejected later for not meeting all requirements. It's unnecessary!
