Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MuleSoft.
Sales
Worst interview experience ever. Things moved so slow. I had to follow up like 3 or 4 times to figure out next steps instead of the recruiter reaching out, even though the recruiter and hiring manager both said they'd move me through quickly. After the onsite, I got zero response from the hiring manager or recruiter even after emailing the recruiter a bunch. I ended up seeing the job was filled on LinkedIn. It was more frustrating not getting the job than the lack of respect. - Applied online - Phone screen with recruiter - Phone interview with hiring manager - Onsite with the hiring manager and 3 team members
- What's something you'd alter about your current company's sales process?
Sales
It was a pretty involved process with a bunch of steps, ending with a trip to HQ in San Francisco. It began with a quick chat over the phone, then I had some one-on-one meetings with the hiring manager. After that, I did a Skype call with their boss. The last part was in San Francisco, meeting with the exec team and even the CEO.
- Can you share an example of something you did for your employer that went beyond your basic job duties?
Sales Representative
First, a recruiter will check if you qualify. If you pass that, you'll talk to a Sales Manager or Director. They'll interview you over the phone. If that goes well, they'll invite you in for a presentation/demo. After that, there will be up to 3 face-to-face interviews with the same people you just presented to.
- How would you present a solution to a team of sales leaders?
