First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MuleSoft.
Intern
I had an interview with Karat, a prep company. They asked two coding questions which were quite simple if you thought about them enough. The interviewer also checked if my code worked for edge cases, and it did. I was very sure I would advance in the process. But, the next morning, I got a rejection email. I asked Karat for feedback and they said only Mulesoft makes the decisions, not them. I was shocked because I could code as requested, and the interviewer said it was the best solution for time and space complexity. It doesn't make sense that I was rejected outright. Similar reviews are on Glassdoor. I think Mulesoft doesn't value an interviewee's time because the interviews are outsourced and no employee is actually involved. Mulesoft's process is extremely unprofessional and shows how the company operates.

MBA Intern
I initially applied for a general MBA internship opening back in October, which I found through an MBA conference. I was contacted in February to interview for a specific role. The interview process involved a recruiter call, an interview with the hiring manager, and finally an interview with the head of the team. Although I made it to the final round, I wasn't selected for that position. However, I mentioned my interest in a different internship role, and the recruiter was helpful in setting up interviews for that one, which I successfully got. The process for this second role was quite similar, with the addition of a 15-minute business case presentation to a panel of directors. Throughout my interactions, the recruiters were consistently professional and supportive. Before the final presentation, the hiring manager offered a coaching session, which was really beneficial. In my opinion, the interview process was as challenging as other competitive MBA internships, but I felt supported and well-informed throughout.

Intern
The interview process involved three rounds, starting with an initial call with HR, followed by two interviews with senior employees. Everything was done online due to COVID. They asked competency-based questions and also questions about my CV. The interviewers were friendly and welcoming, and I found the HR contacts to be helpful.
