Software Asset Manager
It was a bit odd, with five 30-minute remote interviews with VPs and one director. I never got a clear picture of who this job reports to or what the day-to-day work involves, even after asking and getting different answers. They usually left only the last few minutes for my questions. They asked a lot of general IT questions, not specific to the role, almost like they were fishing for best practices. These were all Teams video calls, but only the last interviewer was on video with me; the others were either just audio or I was on video and they weren't, which was really weird and uncomfortable. I even wondered if it was a scam, but I suspect this is just how they do remote interviews for this position. The recruiters were nice, though. A merger is happening, and I think they're in a hiring spree because one of them mentioned it. They all seemed stressed. After the fifth interview and the one where only I was on video, they quickly let me know they went with someone else. Since I was already uncomfortable, it was a relief not to have to think about them anymore. The salary they mentioned at the start did keep me interested, though.
- Can you describe your experience in your current Software Asset Management role?
Credit Analyst
This role has one interview round, which covers fit and technical aspects. It's usually with two to three people from the team, like a director and a VP, or maybe two VPs and an associate, depending on the situation. After that, HR will call to discuss the other details. The process is quite fast and communication is good.
- What are key ratios for assessing a company's creditworthiness?
Credit Analyst
This is a very technical interview, so be prepared. Even though HR conducts it, they'll ask finance-related questions. My advice is to stay updated on current market events and review a foundations of finance textbook if you haven't studied it before.
- Can you explain the difference between a forward contract and a future contract?
