We had a Skype interview. It was with two technical interviewers and one person from HR. They were friendly and explained the firm and their workflow. They also asked about my sponsorship needs and about my past experience working in big companies.
- Could you discuss your undergraduate and graduate coursework, particularly in geotechnical engineering?
- What are your requirements regarding sponsorship?
- Can you describe your experience working for large firms?

I was emailed and we set up a Skype call, then I had an in-person interview later that week. They paid for everything, travel and a hotel for one night. The onsite interview lasted all day and included lunch. I met with 12 different people, including partners, associate partners, senior engineers, and managers. I also got a tour of the lab.
- Everyone asked if I thought NYC was a good fit for me.
- Can you share your past experiences?
- Do you have any technical expertise to share?
