I had a phone screen, then an interview, followed by a take home test, and finally a panel interview with two team members. Even though I completed the whole process and the team said I was a good fit, I got a generic rejection email days later with no response from the recruiter. The team members said I had exactly what they were looking for, so it was disappointing to not hear back sooner.

I got an email with a Calendly link to set up a screening call about a week after applying. After that initial screening, I had an hour-long call with the hiring manager. Muck Rack was upfront about their interview process and extra benefits not on the job post. Then, there were 4 more interviews with team members, people from other departments I'd interact with, and higher-ups. Finally, they do a reference and background check. Usually, multiple interview rounds can be a bit much and slow, but not with Muck Rack. The recruiter was great and kept me updated throughout. All 4 interviews were scheduled in the same week. Everyone I spoke with from each stage was nice, asked good questions, and answered my questions thoroughly. It seems like Muck Rack has a really positive culture, which makes sense given how detailed the interview process is. I'm currently in the reference check phase and hoping for an offer soon!

The hiring process started with an initial chat with the hiring manager to understand my background. Then, I had a take-home task to show how I'd use the software. After that, I interviewed with the director, and then with two other team members. The last step involved setting up calls for my references. The whole thing was pretty thorough but very nice. They were always quick to reply to emails and really flexible with scheduling. Communication was great throughout, and I liked that they were upfront about where I stood and my potential at Muck Rack. It took about 4 weeks total, and I got a good feel for the awesome company culture, which made me even more stoked to join Muck Rack.
